This one was a real challenge, as the floor had a very thick layer of factory-applied aluminium oxide finish. Aluminium oxide is a highly durable material often used on prefinished hardwood floors to create a protective layer. While it offers excellent resistance to scratches and wear, over time, it can make the floor look dull, scratched, and lifeless.
In this case, the customer wanted the natural beauty and grain of the wood to pop again, as it had been hidden under the thick, worn finish for years. With precision and care, we removed the tough coating, bringing the stunning oak grain back to life and transforming the floor into a centerpiece once more!
